Where's My Dad?

Akemi Thot about her mother.💕 

The other day,  her dad called her while she was driving.  Akemi picked up the call on the speaker phone.

"Your mum wants to talk to you."

He passed the phone to her mother.

"Hey Ah Cy.  Is my dad there?"
"No, mum.  He's not here. "
"Oh?  Where is he?"
"I don't know.  He was never here."
"Oh where could he be.  He's been gone for days and has not come back?  He was just around here that day.  Now where is he?"

Akemi has never met her mother's dad.

Do Unto Others

Something uncomfortable crosses Akemi's heart today.

"It's strange how someone young who doesn't show respect towards some elders,  expects respect from these same elders.  Do Unto Others..."

Akemi reframes.

"If you think it is difficult to say some things, but you also think you ought to say it, recite this supplication from Prophet Moses (a.s)."

Akemi digresses.

"Apparently Prophet Moses had a stutter which had been caused by burning coals that he tried to touch and swallow as a baby.  Errr... Long story, this.  Go learn your sirah of the Prophets of Allah."

It is not fair what they do.  It is imbalanced.  It is unjust.  So she leaves it to Him.

Hajj Connects

Akemi poetry of the day :
hajj connects
not just a creation to their Creator
but also, 
that creation to other creations
forming a bond of fast friendship
a platoon of pals
of shisha gals
connecting to their Lord
together.

Bakkah Beckoned

Akemi thought the recent Bakkah Journey she undertook, although somewhat arduous,  was in the end an awesome experience.  A lot of things went through her mind.  Most of it was that her constant feeling of how undeserving she was to even be there, to have received the invitation to Holy Bakkah yet again.  And this time, for the holiest of pilgrimage.

But a friend said to her :  "Ah Cy, don't second guess Him.  Of course, you deserve it. Think positive." Glory Be to God.
